COVID-19 Response: In order to continue to exercise cautions and to ensure the safety of all our members, we are extending our online group practice until further notice. We remain hopeful that we will be meeting in-person again before long. Sign-up to receive our weekly newsletter to get the latest updates.
It’s 5th Saturday – which means it’s movie night again!
We will be watching a film about trees — “Treeline: A Story Written in Rings”
Because of this film’s quiet beauty and calming power, we are going to watch it right after moving meditation and before sitting. Scroll down a bit to see schedule details.
Quietly, patiently, trees endure. Treeline takes us to the enshrined cypress groves of Japan, the towering red cedars of British Columbia, and the ancient bristle cones of Nevada, following a handful of skiers, snowboarders, scientists and healers as they move through these giants and explore a connection older than humanity.
** Please note that, unlike other movie nights, we will not be eating during this movie. **
Schedule for Sat. August 31:
6:15 PM: Door Opens – meditation instructions provided if needed 6:30 PM: Slow Moving Meditation – to help settle our body & mind ~6:45 PM: Movie (~40 mins.) ~7:30 PM: Sitting Meditation ~8:00 PM: Discussion / Sharing ~8:15 PM: Adjourn
